Vinification: Selection of the best red wine grapes, variety Vinhão. The grapes are foot trodden
and fermentation occurs in the tradicional tank, a shallow stone lagar.
Tasting Notes: Intense red colour. Complex aroma of ripe fruit notes.
Balanced acidity, with soft tannins and a long finish.
Aging Potential: Should be drunk young, up to 2 years after bottling date.
Pairing Suggestions: Tradicional "rojões" from Minho, lamprey, "cabrito no forno a lenha" (roast lamb cooked in a wood burning oven).
Serve: Between 10ºC - 12ºC.
Global production: 15000 bottles.
